Driver's note: A small hotel on İbrahim Kaptan Caddesi, the beach road in Adrasan bay, with its own beach and garden, an à la carte restaurant, on-site spa treatments and free parking.
Antalya Airport to Adrasan Deniz Hotel private transfer
Adrasan is a bay village belonging to Kumluca, tucked round the coast well to the south-west, which is what makes this a proper drive out rather than a short hop. The car leaves the terminal on the eastern ring road, crosses Antalya to the western side and takes the Kemer road, which becomes the Kumluca road and keeps the sea on one hand and the mountains hard against the other. After that comes the village road down into the bay, ending on İbrahim Kaptan Caddesi at the hotel's own gate. The whole of it runs to 105 km, with 100 to 120 minutes to set aside for it.
What makes a long transfer worth arranging in advance is knowing the number before you leave home. The entry vehicle is the Mercedes Vito at €80 and upwards, good for six travellers and the cases that come with them; parties of eight move up to the eight-seat minivan, which is €85. Either figure buys the vehicle, not a seat in it, and it is not reopened once the wheels are turning. City traffic, a slow climb behind a lorry, a cautious run down the last bends: those are ours to absorb. No money moves at the booking stage; the fare is settled at the far end, and there is no charge for cancelling so long as word comes more than 4 hours before the pickup.
This is a small property, and its rooms are put together around the daylight: floor-to-ceiling windows and a wide balcony, with air conditioning, a television, a fridge and a hairdryer indoors, and wireless internet reaching through the building. Breakfast comes with the room. The kitchen keeps no fixed menu, working instead from an à la carte list that runs through soups, hot and cold starters, salads, pasta, main courses, seafood, puddings and fruit, vegetarian dishes among them, and what is cooked is adjusted to taste on request. Among its facilities the hotel names a pool, its own beach and garden, a restaurant and the activities it puts on. The garden is a large one, planted with trees and flowers and set out with seating in the shade. A spa works on the premises with stones and aromatic oils, offering skin care and massage, Balinese, Swedish and Shiatsu among the types listed. Pets are accepted.
A pause on the road is a matter of saying so, either in the booking message or from the back seat once the drive is under way; the driver turns off where there are toilets and something cold to drink, and neither the halt nor the minutes it takes reach the total. Whatever size of child seat is wanted, it costs nothing, so name the ages when you write and the right carrier or booster is strapped in before you reach the car. Think about what else is travelling, too. People come down here for the diving, the walking and the boat days, so the kit arrives alongside the suitcases, and the Vito has the height in the back for both. The number you send is enough for us to track the inbound aircraft, which means a late arrival changes when the driver appears and nothing else.
If your flight lands after dark, the descent into the bay is the wrong thing to be puzzling over on a telephone screen at that stage of a journey. Booking the car removes it. Reception here is manned whatever the hour, the car park is free and never shut, and the cases go from the boot to the door instead of across open ground. One thing is worth settling before you fly: put İbrahim Kaptan Caddesi in the booking message. The Deniz name is not unique around this bay, and the street is what decides where the car pulls in. The journey home covers the same ground for the same money, fixed over WhatsApp the evening before.
What happens when you land
No rank, no meter, nothing to negotiate at the kerb. Passport control and the luggage hall come first; after them the driver is standing with a board that carries your name, at whichever of the exits your aircraft is sent to. Waiting costs nothing for the first 60 minutes after the wheels are down, which is about what a heavy immigration queue and an unhurried belt use up between them. The heavy bags change hands there and go into the boot, and from the car park the car goes to Adrasan and nowhere else. Should the plan fall apart beforehand, a cancellation sent more than 4 hours before the agreed pickup is free of charge.
The shape of the drive
The 105 km does not keep one character from end to end. The city part moves quickly on ring road and dual carriageway; further south the road loses its straight lines and works its way along the shore, up over each headland and down the other side, and the turning into the bay is narrower than any of it. Anyone who feels the bends should keep tablets, water and a charged telephone within reach rather than packed away in the boot. Stopping is free for the asking and leaves the total where it stands. The 100 to 120 minutes is measured for the corners rather than for an empty road, and if the traffic beats it, the loss is ours.
Arriving at the hotel, and leaving again
The car pulls up at the hotel's own gate on the beach road, with the garden and the hotel's stretch of shore behind it, so the bags are out a few paces from reception rather than at a barrier some way off. Parking on the site costs nothing and is open whatever the hour, which leaves somewhere for the car to stand meanwhile. There is luggage storage behind the desk, worth remembering on a morning when the room is not ready or a last day with hours to fill, and a tour desk that sets up the boat trips, the diving, the fishing and the Tahtalı cable car. For the flight out, send the departure over WhatsApp the evening before; we count the full 100 to 120 minutes of road backwards from it and add whatever you want at check-in. The car is at the door at the hour agreed, for the money you were quoted.
Good to know for Adrasan Deniz Hotel
- Put the flight number in the booking message. We watch the arrival from it, and a delay only shifts the hour the driver turns up.
- Name the street, İbrahim Kaptan Caddesi, alongside the hotel, because other Deniz names turn up around Adrasan.
- Send the children's ages with the booking, and the seat that fits each of them is free.
- If the journey begins to drag, ask the driver to pull in. Nothing about the quote alters because of it.
- Keep cash by for the end of the run, in EUR, USD or TRY; nothing is due when you book, and payment by card is not possible.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the fare to Adrasan Deniz Hotel?
From €80 for the Mercedes Vito, which will take six people with their luggage; where the group runs to eight, the eight-seat minivan is €85. What you are hiring is the car, so the figure does not rise or fall with the head count. It is confirmed before the day, and the leg back out costs the same.
What does the 105 km take in practice?
100 to 120 minutes. The ring road clears the city, the Kemer road carries you south-west until it becomes the Kumluca road, and the village road brings you down into the bay. Busy weeks push the journey nearer the top of that span without touching the fare, which was settled before you set off.
Where is the driver when we come through?
He is inside arrivals, holding up a board with your surname on it, at whichever exit the flight is given, domestic or international. He relieves you of the cases there, and the vehicle is no great walk from the doors.
Does a night landing or a delay cause a problem?
Neither does. We watch the arrival by its flight number, which you send when you book, so the driver is set by the aeroplane and not by the schedule, and the free waiting allowance of 60 minutes starts at touchdown. We take bookings and drive 24/7, and this hotel keeps its desk attended at any hour, so arriving in the bay in the small hours is straightforward.
Is the drive manageable with small children?
Yes. Seats for the children are supplied without charge, in any size. Over 100 to 120 minutes a break is there for the asking. The Mercedes Vito from €80 takes six, and the boot will swallow a pushchair without anything being left behind; a party of eight all travel together in the €85 minivan.
How is payment handled?
Payment is in cash when the journey finishes, in euros, dollars or lira. Nothing is collected when the booking is made, and if you cancel with more than 4 hours to go before the agreed pickup there is nothing to settle. Shifting the time needs no more than a message.
