Belek's golf is unusually concentrated. Ten or so championship layouts share a strip of coastline roughly thirty-five kilometres south of Antalya, most of them woven into the grounds of a single five-star resort. The land is naturally suited to the game: flat, sandy and forested with umbrella pine, which lets architects shape generous fairways and firm, fast greens. Because the courses sit so close together, a group can play a different design each morning without a long drive. Cornelia to Gloria is around three kilometres, Gloria to Carya about five, and Carya to the Montgomerie only three again. That proximity is the belt's quiet advantage — you spend your holiday on the course rather than on the road. Antalya Airport is roughly thirty-three kilometres away, a thirty-five to forty-five minute run, so even a same-day arrival can reach an afternoon tee time with a little planning.

Course by Course: Designers and Character

Carya, designed by Thomson, Perrett & Lobb, is Belek's outlier: a British-style heathland course of heather and silver birch reminiscent of Wentworth or Sunningdale, and home to the longest hole in Turkey. It hosted the Turkish Airlines Open. Next door, the National — opened in 1994 as Belek's very first course, by David Feherty and David Jones — is a classic parkland test. The Montgomerie Maxx Royal, shaped by Colin Montgomerie with European Golf Design, mixes links and desert touches and even floodlights a few holes for night play. Nick Faldo's Cornelia offers twenty-seven holes across three loops. Gloria is the largest facility with forty-five holes over its Old, New and Verde courses. Sueno pairs the tougher Pines with the gentler Dunes, while the Antalya Golf Club's PGA Sultan and Kaya Palazzo round out a line-up that few golf destinations in Europe can match for variety within one small district.

Which Hotel Sits on Which Course

The appeal of Belek is that most courses belong to a hotel, so you can wake, breakfast and walk to the first tee. Regnum Carya guests have Carya and the neighbouring National on their doorstep. Maxx Royal Belek sits on the Montgomerie. The Cornelia courses serve the Cornelia Diamond, De Luxe and Resort hotels. Sueno's guests can walk to both the Pines and the Dunes. Gloria's forty-five holes are shared by the Gloria Golf Resort, Serenity and Verde properties. The Antalya Golf Club's PGA Sultan and Pasha courses pair with Kempinski Hotel The Dome, Kaya Palazzo has its own course, and Titanic Deluxe Golf Belek has an adjacent layout of its own. Golf Bags and Choosing the Right Vehicle

A hard-shell golf travel case is longer and bulkier than an ordinary suitcase, and this is where vehicle choice matters. A standard sedan boot rarely takes more than one full golf case once ordinary luggage is loaded, so a foursome arriving with bags and clubs will not fit. We recommend the Mercedes Vito for golfers: its flat, deep load space swallows several hard cases plus everyone's suitcases, and it still seats a group of up to six or seven comfortably. For larger parties or extra kit, the minivan gives more room again. Airport-to-Belek pricing is a flat €35 in the Vito and €45 in the minivan, against €25 for the sedan — a small premium that removes any doubt about whether the clubs will travel with you. Early Tee Times and Pre-Dawn Pickups

Belek clubs run tee times from roughly seven in the morning until dusk, and the early slots are the ones serious golfers want — the air is cool, the greens are freshly cut and you finish before the heat. An early tee-off usually means a pickup before dawn, especially if you are staying outside your course's resort or want a warm-up on the range. We build the pickup time backwards from your booked tee, allowing for the short drive between resorts and a margin for the clubhouse check-in, so you are never sprinting to the first tee. Because our drivers know the resort gates and the service roads between courses, transfers between clubhouses are quick: Sueno to the National is around six kilometres, roughly ten minutes. When to Play: Seasons and Weather

Belek's prime golf seasons are generally October to November and March to April, when daytime temperatures tend to sit in the low to mid twenties Celsius — warm enough for shirtsleeves, cool enough to walk eighteen holes. Winter, from December to February, is milder than most northern Europeans expect, usually around the mid-teens, and the courses stay green and playable, which makes Belek something of a winter-golf refuge; do check conditions locally, as the odd wet spell can arrive. High summer, July and August, is best avoided for golf: afternoon highs often reach the mid-thirties, so any round is better played very early or late in the day. Whatever the month, book tee times ahead in the shoulder seasons, when the resorts are busiest with golf groups. Getting There and Moving Between Courses

Almost every Belek golf holiday starts at Antalya Airport, about thirty-three kilometres and a thirty-five to forty-five minute drive from the resort strip.
