From Bogazkent to the park

The route out of Bogazkent runs west along the Bogazkent road, skirts Belek centre, follows Turizm Caddesi down through Kadriye and turns north on Kadriye Yolu to the visitor car park — resort roads the whole way, so there is no airport traffic to sit in at any hour. Our driver waits at your hotel reception with a name board and the child seats already fitted. A 09:30 pickup puts you at the gate before the 10:00 opening surge; in July and August the roundabouts through Belek can add a few minutes, which is why we quote 12 to 18 rather than promise the bottom of the range.

Being this close changes how you use the park. Arrive around 09:45 and take Aqua Land and the Tropic Lagoon family zone while the slide queues are short, then the new Waterfly Land tower before lunch. The Dolphin Land show is included with the ticket, Adventure Land holds the dry coasters for the afternoon, and the indoor Nickelodeon sections are the shelter through the hottest hour or a rare wet spell. Sunbeds, umbrellas and rafts cost nothing, though towels are not supplied and lockers are extra. Same-day re-entry is allowed, so a family from Bogazkent can even slip back to the hotel for a rest and return for the evening.

The free part of the evening needs no park ticket: Shopping Avenue is an open-air mall with a canal, and the Musical Boat Parade, the Chimera Fountain shows and the Wonder of Legends castle finale all play there, usually in the evening — check the day's programme rather than a fixed hour. For the ride home the driver stands on the car-park side pavement outside the main gate, where you were dropped. The finale empties the park at once and the exit takes 10 to 20 minutes to clear, so we set the pickup about 15 minutes after the show or agree a pull-in further north on Kadriye Yolu.

The price logic is simple: €20, €30 or €35 buys the whole car, each way, agreed before you get in, so two adults and three children ride for €30 in a Vito and the children change nothing. A rank taxi runs on the meter, and the meter keeps ticking through the slow exit queue after the finale. Hotel shuttles from Bogazkent, where they exist, run to their own timetable and leave before the evening shows finish, while the dolmus means a change in Belek and a walk at the far end. With children, pushchairs or an after-dark return, a private car at a known price is the practical choice.
