From Side to the park
From Side the driver collects you at the hotel — old-town pensions inside the peninsula included — and joins the D400 westbound past Kumköy, Evrenseki and Çolaklı. The dual carriageway runs straight towards Belek; at Kadriye the car turns off onto Kadriye Yolu and reaches the park gate in 35–45 minutes overall. Ask to be dropped at the main visitor car park, then walk through Shopping Avenue to the turnstiles. Gates usually open around 10:00, so a pickup at about 09:00 puts a Side family at the entrance for opening; allow a little extra on the D400 in the late-afternoon peak coming back.
Coming from a resort town 40 km away, most Side guests make it one full day rather than repeat visits, so plan the zones in order. Start in Aqua Land while the big slides are quiet, move to Tropic Lagoon when younger children want calmer water, and save Adventure Land's dry coasters for the afternoon; the Dolphin Land show is included with the ticket, and sunbeds, umbrellas and rafts are free. Waterfly Land, the new slide tower for 2026, is worth queueing early. If cloud rolls in off the sea, the indoor Nickelodeon sections carry the day, and the Masha and The Bear land keeps toddlers happy between slides.
The evening shows change the return calculation. Shopping Avenue — a free open-air mall along a canal — hosts the Musical Boat Parade, the Chimera Fountain water-light displays and the Wonder of Legends castle finale, all without a park ticket; they usually run in the evening, so check the day's programme. Staying for the finale means a late return to Side, which is easy with a private car waiting. After the show the exit road takes ten to twenty minutes to clear, so we set the pickup about fifteen minutes after the finale at the car-park side pavement outside the main gate, or agree a quieter pull-in on Kadriye Yolu.
The fare is fixed before you travel: €35 for a sedan taking up to four, €45 for a Mercedes Vito taking up to six, €55 for a minivan taking up to eight — per vehicle in either direction, paid in cash to the driver. A metered street taxi over 40 km leaves the total open until you arrive, and Side excursion coaches sell seats per person, pool half a dozen hotels and fix your departure hours — with children, four coach seats often cost more than one sedan. The private car leaves when you decide and carries free child seats; book both legs on WhatsApp and keep the same driver.

Can we come from Side just for the evening shows?
Yes. Shopping Avenue is free to enter with no park ticket, and the Musical Boat Parade, Chimera Fountain displays and castle finale usually run in the evening — check the day's programme before setting out. Most Side guests leave around 18:00, eat by the canal, watch the finale and ride home afterwards.
Why book a private transfer instead of an excursion coach?
Excursion coaches from Side sell seats per person, tour several hotels before reaching the main road and set both your arrival and departure times. A private car goes door to door at the hour you choose and stays flexible if you decide to leave after the finale; the €35 sedan fare covers four people.
