A park day from the Khan begins at the hotel entrance, where the car can pull in and the swim bags go straight into the boot. From the middle of Antalya the driver heads east out of Muratpaşa, past the airport and Aksu, and stays on the coastal highway until the Kadriye turn brings you down to the park gates. It is 40 km and 45 to 55 minutes, short enough to leave after a proper breakfast in the hotel restaurant and still reach the turnstiles as the gates open.

A city-centre base makes this trip awkward to improvise, because the park stands out in the Belek countryside and the road back into Antalya after dark is not one to arrange at the last minute. A Vito takes a family group with room left over for a cool bag, a change of clothes and the damp towels that come back from the water zones, and the sliding door makes it easier to get tired children in and out at the end of the day. Seats and boosters for children cost nothing and go in before the car leaves for Muratpaşa, so put the ages in your WhatsApp message. Larger groups take the minivan at €65 instead of splitting between cars, which matters most on the way home when nobody wants to stand at the gate waiting for another vehicle. Back at the hotel the rooftop pool and the Khan Wellness hamam make a useful landing after a day on the rides.

Where the car waits at the Khan Hotel

The driver turns off the main road into the hotel's side street and stops at the entrance by the reception doors, name board in hand, so nobody has to walk out with bags and children. Give the name the room is booked under and, if it helps, send a WhatsApp message while you are finishing breakfast, and the car will be there as you step out of the lift. On the way home the drop is at the same doors. If you are still up by the rooftop pool when the car arrives, the driver waits rather than moving off.

A park day from the city centre

The Land of Legends sits at Kadriye in the Belek countryside, so from a city hotel the whole day hangs on the car being there at both ends. Past the turnstiles, a ticket is what the rides and the water zones require, and swim things are worth packing even if the rides are the plan. Shopping Avenue, the strip outside the gates, is generally open without a ticket and is where food tends to be found. Buy the tickets before you travel if you would rather not queue at the gate with tired children.

The evening, and the drive home

Nothing needs to be bought to walk Shopping Avenue in the evening, which suits anyone who would rather keep the afternoon for the hotel's rooftop pool and come out only for dinner and the show. Days and start times shift through the season, so the official schedule sets your pickup rather than the other way round. Message the driver when the finale finishes; 15 minutes later, with the crowd thinning, the car is at the gate. From there it is the 45 to 55 minute run west along the coastal highway and back into Muratpaşa, and no evening supplement lands on the fare.
