From Alanya to the park
From Alanya the driver follows the D400 west along the coast, past Avsallar and Incekum, over the Manavgat river and beyond the Side and Serik junctions before turning off for Kadriye — about 105 km, usually 95–115 minutes door to door. Gates usually open around 10:00, so a pickup at about 07:45 from most Alanya hotels puts you at the entrance for opening. Ask to be dropped at the main visitor car park off Kadriye Yolu and walk through Shopping Avenue to the turnstiles; summer traffic builds around Manavgat by mid-morning, which is another argument for an early start.
At nearly two hours each way, this is the longest day trip we run to the park, so make it count. Head into Aqua Land first while the big slides are quiet, settle younger children in Tropic Lagoon, and look for the new Waterfly Land slide tower; save Adventure Land's coasters for the afternoon heat. The Dolphin Land show is included with the ticket, and sunbeds, umbrellas and rafts cost nothing. Outside food is not allowed and towels are not supplied, so travel light and hire a locker. If the weather turns, the indoor Nickelodeon sections keep the day alive.
The night shows are the real Alanya question. Shopping Avenue is a free open-air mall along a canal, and its Musical Boat Parade, Chimera Fountain displays and Wonder of Legends castle finale need no park ticket; they usually run in the evening — check the day's programme. Water zones close in the early evening, so shower and eat by the canal before the shows. Staying to the finale means reaching Alanya close to midnight, which many families accept once a season. We wait at the car-park pavement outside the main gate; the exit clears in ten to twenty minutes, so the pickup goes about fifteen minutes after the show.
The fare is fixed before the car moves: €90 for a sedan seating up to four, €120 for a Mercedes Vito seating up to six, €150 for a minivan seating up to eight — always per vehicle, valid in either direction, paid in cash to the driver. Over 105 km a metered street taxi becomes a lottery, and Alanya excursion coaches sell seats individually, spend the first hour collecting other hotels and leave before the evening finale. The private car goes when you decide, drives non-stop, waits for no one else and carries free child seats; book both legs in one WhatsApp message.
