A park day from Alba Resort begins at the hotel entrance on Erhan Demir Bulvarı, with the swim bags loaded at the door. The driver heads west out of Çolaklı on the D400, past Evrenseki and the Manavgat junctions, on towards Serik and then off at the Kadriye turning for the Kingdom of Dreams gates. Count on 45 km and 40–50 min of steady driving on the main coast road, the Taurus range showing inland for most of it and the farmland of the plain either side.
Without a price fixed in advance, the meter runs on the way over and the fare home is still to be settled at the gate when everybody is tired. Ours is set before the car leaves the hotel and does not shift: from €55 in a Mercedes Vito and €70 in the larger minivan, charged for the car and not by the seat, with the same figure standing for the journey home. Alba Resort already keeps children busy with an activity pool, water slides and a mini club, so a park day is the same thing on a larger scale. The Mercedes Vito suits parents with children, carrying the towels, the cool bag and the damp swim things home without anyone sitting on a wet rucksack, and its sliding door is kinder to tired legs at the end. Larger parties, or families travelling together, take the minivan at €70. Seats and boosters for children are free in every size and go in before the car reaches Çolaklı, so send the ages with the WhatsApp booking.
Where the car waits at Alba Resort
The driver turns in off Erhan Demir Bulvarı and waits at the entrance rather than out on the boulevard. Book under your room name, and if it helps, send a WhatsApp line on the way out of breakfast so the car is at the door by the time you have crossed the lobby. The grounds are large and the rooms are split between blocks, so allow a little walking time from the far ones, and keep the swim bags together for loading.
A park day for guests staying in Çolaklı
Going west rather than east makes a morning start straightforward: out after breakfast and through the turnstiles not long after opening, while the queues are still short. Rides fill the early part of the day, the water side of the park takes over from late spring until early autumn, and the aquarium on Shopping Avenue can be seen without buying into the park at all. If the slides at Alba have gone down well, that water side is the obvious first stop, so pack reef shoes and swim things in the same bag.
The night show and the road back to Çolaklı
After dark, Shopping Avenue runs a parade, dancing fountains and a castle finale, none of it needing a park ticket, so the day can stay on the beach at Çolaklı and the park take only the evening, with dinner by the canal first. The driver waits through it without charging for the time. Send a WhatsApp line when the finale closes and the car comes round to the gate about 15 minutes later, ready for the 40–50 min east on the D400.
Night-show tip: An evening-only trip works well from Çolaklı: keep the day for the hotel beach and the aquapark, then come over for dinner and the show on Shopping Avenue.
