The experience
Tazi Canyon, also known as Eagle Canyon, is a deep limestone cleft inside Koprulu Canyon National Park, about 77 km inland from Belek. This day trip puts you on the observation deck at the top of it in the morning and in a raft at the bottom of it in the afternoon. It suits families with school-age children, groups of friends and anyone who finds a plain rafting day a little short on scenery. No hiking or paddling experience is needed; the walk to the deck is short and the Koprucay rapids are graded for beginners. Children aged 7 to 12 pay £12 and infants up to 6 travel free.
The coach leaves your hotel at 08:00 and climbs into the Taurus Mountains for around an hour, with one stop on the way for photographs and a stretch. From the drop-off point a path through pine forest leads to the wooden deck, where the canyon walls fall away beneath your feet and the river shows as a green thread far below. Lunch follows at a restaurant on the riverbank, with free time to sit in the shade or paddle in the shallows. After a safety briefing you kit up, join a crew and raft the Koprucay River with a guide-instructor before the coach returns you to Belek by 18:30.

Good to know
The trip departs every day in season; July and August are the hottest months on the deck, so start the walk with a full water bottle and a hat. Wear swimwear under your clothes so you can change quickly before rafting, and choose shoes that stay on in water and cope with a stony path. Pack a towel and dry clothes for the ride home. Children of 7 and over can raft; ask us on WhatsApp about younger ones, who travel free but may not be allowed on the raft. Leave anything that cannot get wet on the coach and carry a little cash for personal expenses.

Be ready five minutes early with your phone switched on. If you are delayed, message us and we will let the driver know so nobody is left behind.
What happens if I need to cancel or change the date?
Nothing is paid up front, so cancelling costs you nothing provided you let us know on WhatsApp at least 24 hours before pickup. The same applies to moving to another date; the tour departs every day, so a swap is usually straightforward. If the operator cancels because of weather or river conditions, we will offer an alternative day, and you owe nothing if that does not suit.
What should I wear and bring for the canyon and rafting day?
Put swimwear on under light clothes and bring a towel plus a dry change for the journey home. Shoes need to cope with both a stony forest path and moving water, so trainers you do not mind soaking or strapped sandals rather than flip-flops.
